2004 Father Christmas #1 – Peace

If you have never looked at the Father Christmas series very closely, please take a look. Peace is the first issue, and he’s still my favorite of this series (which is my favorite Hallmark Keepsake ornament series). No detail is overlooked in this incredibly beautiful piece of art. He’s well-sculpted with lots of fabric details from velvet to fleece to cording as well as a fabric bag holding a message about the spirit of Christmas written in calligraphy. The white/off-white colors as well as the dove and laurel convey the message of peace as well. He’s tall, and I personally like to display them on a shelf instead of on the tree, but he shows up well on a tree too.
